We preferred staying at the wonderful villa – maybe that says it all
We have celebrated our August holidays with 2 families in villa Lucida and what a fantastic time we had. It is a beautiful, enjoyable, cool spacious villa with 2 large separate kitchens. The villa offers a great first-floor terrace with an outdoor kitchen where we could all eat in comfort and style around a long table with an additional BBQ and built-in beautiful covered lounging sofas. The pool area offers the same possibilities with BBQ and a great shaded sun pergola, so whilst lunch is prepared others can continue to enjoy a swim, relax in the hammocks or catch some rays with a selection of poolside sun loungers. There is plenty to do at the villa for all ages: on the large lawn running away from the pool we played football, lawn volleyball – and there was a trampoline. For poolside fun, there is a pool volleyball net with all kinds of inflatable floating toys which was great for both adults and our teenagers. The nearby historical walled city of Lucca is a must to visit with a calming atmosphere, a labyrinth of narrow shop-filled streets leading into shady piazza where we enjoyed Italian hospitality and fine cuisine. For a small side trip, we decided to visit the beautiful beach of Viareggio, which was a simple half an hour drive away – On a final note, the villa is so well thought it offers privacy and multiple relaxing outside areas, with the best moments of our summer holiday were with our friends and family spent at villa Lucida. That says enough I think.
